Welcome to tabel table !
Tabel Table is a small space born in Kyotango, the Kyoto by the Sea.
Stepping into the renovated space of this 100-year-old traditional Japanese house,
you’ll be greeted by a striking interior of duck-egg blue, dark brown beams and eclectic design,
reminiscent of European emporiums of old.
Antique round tables from distant countries, upholstered chairs,
vintage Japanese pillar clocks, lampshades with stained glass-style patterns,
copper kettles, mobiles made of silver cutlery and more, decorate the space in a unique arrangement.
The owner has gathered this old furniture and other miscellaneous paraphernalia according to whim,
creating an atmosphere that exudes warmth.
tabel table is not just a café-restaurant where you can relax and lose track of time;
it’s also a kitchen studio where you can learn not only cooking, but new revelations about food.
Additionally, it is a small shop where you can easily take home simple yet flavorful baked goods.
Please come and visit tabel table to experience this unique blend of ambiance.
Our daily activities are also posted on Instagram and Facebook.
Please check them out as well.

– It was great to have some recipes of the different seasonings printed, we are still using them today.
– The miso workshop was great as we were able to manipulate the soybeans and the koji ourselves and understand what it should look like.
– It was great to visit the supermarket with you, learn more about the Japanese products and be able to decide what we wanted to cook. We really appreciate your flexibility.
– I really appreciated that you ordered the koji book and the koji spores for myself.
– The 3 visits were very good : vinegar, soy sauce and sake, 3 pillars of Japanese Gastronomy
